Proper quality time at Christmas!

Hey guys, how are we all doing? Looking forward to Christmas? Stressed? Not feeling the spirit yet? Or are we working in retail or another job doing lots of hours? I’m currently in retail and it is so busy, so if you are like me I feel ya!

Now I wanted to talk about Christmas time. What do you think it’s all about? Is it about the time off work or the presents or the cards? I think for me this year it is about family time. Being at third year now at university, and with it being stressful, I’ve really missed being at home surrounded by family.

For me, it isn’t all about the money or the presents or the spending loads of money on other people, I think it’s about seeing others and catching up. Chatting, hugging and seeing those who mean the most to me. I have got a few presents this year, but I’ve kept it small because it can really add up and be so expensive. I think in years before, I would go mad and buy lots of things and be seriously out of pocket. I’ve learnt from that and only bought for close ones, and I think it’s worked really well.

I can’t wait to sit around at Christmas, and have all the nice cards that have a lovely message in, as well as the hugs and kisses. I love the realisation of how much I love all these people around me. I am so grateful for everyone for who they are and what they do. I don’t think we really realise until we stop and have some proper time with others. When life is so busy and hectic, and we find ourselves running around like headless chickens, we need that Christmas holiday to sit down, take a moment and say thank you to those who are in your heart.

I just want to say thank you to those who have been there for me, cared for me, loved me and helped me in so many situations. Thank you for loving me and holding me hand. I am so grateful for all of you in my life and hope this time of year shows you just how much I love you, and thank you.

May this post be inspirational and useful. I hope we know how lucky we are to have great people in our lives. Remember to say thank you, and remind them how great they are 🙂

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have a great time!

Much love and until next time,

Asha
